MONDAY

Enjoy your stat holiday by taking a dip in the pool. This Monday, three rec centres in the city– Killarney, Acadia and Renfrew – are offering free swimming time slots in their pools. From 1 to 2:30 p.m. and 3 to 4:30 p.m., take a break from Calgary’s unpredictable weather with a refreshing swim.

The City requests you only attend one time slot to leave room for everyone hoping to swim.

WEDNESDAY

As if” you’d miss this Wednesday’s edition of The Confluence’s Classics and Crafts series where the movie showing is 1995’s Clueless. No matter your crafting proclivities, whether that’s crochet, scrapbooking or diamond painting, all are welcome at Classics and Crafts – just bring your own supplies! Tickets cost $12 and included a small bag of popcorn and after-hours admission to The Confluence cultural centre. More snacks and drinks are available for purchase during the event. Grab your tickets over on Showpass.

THURSDAY

The Stage It! Festival kicks off on Thursday and runs through Sunday, showcasing new talent in Calgary’s theatre, film and dance scene. Two shows premiere on Thursday, Somewhere In Between Us, an exploration of identity, race and perception, and Four Strong Seasons, a piece inspired by the real stories of Calgarians. Between these performances catch DJ Harvey Nichol killing it on the 1s and 2s.

If you’ve got the money to spend, support the festival with a paid ticket for $15. If your wallet is feeling a little thin, Stage It Festival keeps theatre accessible by also offering free tickets to all shows. Grab your tickets on downstage.ca

FRIDAY

Iconic duo Lilith Fair and Karla Marx teamed up to create a brand new show called The Worst People You Know, showing this Friday at The Attic. For one night only, enjoy a raucous evening of sketch comedy, with brand new characters, political commentary and of course, a bit of sex appeal. Be sure to grab your tickets soon for the 7 p.m. show — the 9 p.m. showing has already sold out. Tickets are $20 available on Showpass

Gather with your fellow musical theatre lovers at the Commonwealth this Saturday for another edition of Boogie Down Broadway, a show tune sing-along night. From 6:30 to 9 p.m., sing along to songs from Hamilton, Les Mis, Wicked and more. Don’t worry if you’ve forgotten the words – the lyrics are displayed on a large screen. If you’re feeling brave, take to the stage to compete in a dance-off or lip sync battle. Tickets are $50 and going fast, so grab yours on Eventbrite before they are gone.

SUNDAY

Hope you’re ready to get up bright and early on Sunday because it’s time for the final day of the English Premier League 2025/26 season. Head over to the Ship and Anchor at 8:30 a.m., where they’ll be showing three of the ten finals matches on the big screen. Catch Crystal Palace versus Arsenal, Manchester City versus Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur versus Everton. Don your jersey and cheer on your favourite team, and try to go easy on the early morning pints.
