MONDAY
To kick things off, check out the weekly rap night happening at the Werklund Centre on Monday. The event is put on by Tribe Artist Society, which is an Indigenous-led hip hop and arts organization in Calgary. The free event goes as follows: some socializing and snacks starting at 5PM, followed by smudging, a mini workshop and finally a cypher.
TUESDAY
Tuesday marks the first night of Broadway Across Canada’s presentation of &Juliet in Calgary. The romantic comedy’s premise asks what life might’ve looked like for Shakespeare’s Juliet had she not died by Romeo’s side. Juliet’s fresh start is full of pop anthems you’re sure to recognize, and the musical runs for a little under three hours with one intermission at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium.
WEDNESDAY
For a relaxed midweek plan, bring your current craft project over to The Confluence’s Burnswest Theatre on Wednesday for the second monthly iteration of Classics & Crafts. This Wednesday, the film being screened is the 1998 romcom The Wedding Singer. You’ve gotta bring your own art supplies, but the $12 ticket includes popcorn, the movie screening and after-hours admission to The Confluence.
THURSDAY
This Thursday, Vogue YYC is hosting another one of their beloved Kiki Balls, this time titled “Virgo’s Groove: A Kiki Ball Written in the Stars.” Whether you’re a fervent regular in our city’s ballroom scene or a curious newcomer, come learn about and celebrate the rich tradition of the art form deeply rooted in the experiences of Black and Latino queer folks, then and now. The event will take place at Twisted Element, and feature energetic performances across categories like OTA Best Dressed, Realness, Body, Face and more. It’ll be electric, and you can grab your tickets through @vogueyyc’s socials.
FRIDAY
Cirque Italia is coming to Calgary with their show Water Circus Nautilus, starting this Friday under the white & blue big top tent at Crossiron Mills. From the largest traveling spectacle in Canada and the U.S., you can expect to see acrobatics on a custom water stage that holds up to 35,000 gallons of water. Tickets to get some eyes on this performance range from $25-$85.
SATURDAY
On Saturday, get to the bottom of how Righteous crafts their gelato with their one-hour tour & tasting experience. During a guided behind-the-scenes tour of the headquarters, you’ll get to taste your way through all of Righteous’ gelato and sorbetto flavours, enjoy a six-flavour flight and take home a pint. The whole experience, including all the gelato, is $40 per guest.
SUNDAY
Cap off the week in community at Alcove Fest 2026, a partnership between the Alcove Centre for the Arts and the BLOX Arts Centre. The event invites all-ages to enjoy the local live music, food trucks, public dance session and a pop-up graffiti wall. The festivities run from 2 to 7 p.m. in the East Parking lot beside the Alcove Beltline and the BLOX Arts Centre. You can reserve your free spot on the Alcove’s website.
