TUESDAY

See Alex Carr at the Comedy Cave. Having lived all over Canada and worked every job from fast-food to used-car sales, he brings a wild mix of stories to the stage. You might’ve heard him on X92.9, but nothing beats a live set. Tickets start at $17 via showpass.com.

WEDNESDAY

Ever wanted to try yourself as a detective? Grab your friends, follow clues, crack puzzles, and uncover the killer. Calagry Murder Mystery is an outdoor quest, so you can also explore the city. Multiple time slots are available, tickets from $14 at Eventbrite.

THURSDAY

The Festival of Crafts opens at the BMO Centre on Thursday. One of Calgary’s biggest handcrafted markets, it runs for four days and features artists, artisans, and designers showcasing their creations. Perfect for getting a head start on your holiday gift list.

FRIDAY

Bars, theatres, and even coffee shops turn into a Fright Night. Whether you hit the UNA Costume Party on 17th, the Tres Beaches Halloween Party at Simmons, or Alforno’s Halloween Bash, expect music, drinks, dancing, and plenty of costumes. Find listings on Eventbrite — and don’t forget your treats!

SATURDAY

Relive the glory days of rock with Classic Albums Live band performing Slippery When Wet at Jack Singer. The tribute show brings Bon Jovi’s legendary hits — “You Give Love a Bad Name,” “Livin’ on a Prayer” — back to life. Doors at 6:30 p.m., with preshow and intermission performances by Jade Elephant.

SUNDAY

If you’re still not done partying, head to Redroom. After Dark YYC runs from 2 to 5 a.m. with DJs, food, drinks, and shisha. General admission is $18 — free for ladies and students before 2:30 a.m. And yes, daylight saving time ends. Which means technically, your Sunday party just gained an extra hour.
