MONDAY

Calgary Flames are back at the ‘Dome’! Catch their game against the Winnipeg Jets at 7:30 p.m. They’ll face the Montreal Canadiens later this week too. For tickets, visit scotiabanksaddledome.com.

TUESDAY

“Supposing I were to come down one morning and find a dead body in the library — what should I do?” asks the protagonist of Spider Web, Agatha Christie’s mystery. If that sounds intriguing, head to the Pumphouse Theatre. The show runs until Saturday, and it was directed by Louis B. Hobson — we spoke with him recently, so check out that interview if you haven’t yet. Tickets are at workshoptheatre.ca.

WEDNESDAY

Who doesn’t love dumplings? Calgary’s Dumpling Fest serves up flavours from around the world — from classic Chinese dumplings to Indian kofta, Korean mandu, Mexican empanadas, and Nepalese momos. Indulge from 5 to 9 p.m.

THURSDAY

Heritage Park transforms for Ghouls’ Night Out, filled with lights, Halloween characters, crafts, and games. This year, there’s a new twist — Unsettled, a scary experience for those who dare! Tickets are $25 on Showpass, with discounts for little ghouls.

FRIDAY

Magic and mystery continue as 17th Avenue turns into a Carnival of Curiosities. Expect fire performers, art installations, a costume contest, and the Monster’s Ball. It’s a free, all-ages event all weekend long. Find the trick-or-treat map at 17thave.ca.

SATURDAY

Get your costume — and your running shoes — for Dash of Doom! Run Calgary’s Halloween race welcomes runners and their dogs! Choose from 5K, 10K, or kids’ races — all supporting the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society. Tickets are at raceroster.com.

SUNDAY

The Bella Concert Hall hosts two special shows — Celebrating 90 Years of Al Muirhead, Calgary’s legendary trumpeter, and The Music of Alicia Keys, reimagined by the Calgary Jazz Orchestra with guest singers. Get your tickets at calgaryjazzorchestra.com and end your week on an uplifting note.
