Monday
Head down to the Calgary Central Library to catch the last stop of Sculptural Dialogue, a series of exhibitions by Calgary-based sculptor Vahe Tokmajyan. Having traveled through Calgary’s communities and public spaces throughout 2026, the exhibition now involves 14 mixed media sculptures, which are free to view on the Calgary Central Library’s second floor.
Tuesday
On Tuesday, Friends of Chinatown and Calgary Zine Club are partnering for a pet-themed craft night. All you need to bring is any photos you’d like to include in your collage — all other craft materials are included in your $5 ticket.
Wednesday
A mixed bill hits The Ship & Anchor on Wednesday night. The show features hardcore skate punk from Mean Bikini, Customer Service’s emo rock and some melodic punk from Die Job. Bands are on at 9 p.m., and cover is free.
Thursday
Don your favourite cosplay for Nerds of Colour WAVE’s comic-forward zine party. The event takes place at Alcove Beltline from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., with an excellent lineup of DJs playing darkwave, post-punk and synth pop tunes all night long.
Friday
Friday brings with it an evening with astrophysicist Fatoumata Kébé, presented by Alliance Française. The accessible conversation will explore ties between astronomy and ecology, asking how looking beyond the Earth can help us better understand our environmental challenges. The talk takes place at cSPACE, and is free for Alliance Française’s members or $15 for non-members.
Saturday
On Halloween, catch the second and last day of Fluid Fest’s horror show, a goth extravaganza cabaret. There will be music, dance, theater, animated objects, drag, comedy, you name it! The October 31st tickets start at $15 and also include admission to the LieLow Monster Ball, a four-act music festival at The GRAND.
Sunday
Start November off on a good foot with an hour of live stand-up comedy by Laura Ramoso. The German-Italian comedian is most well-known for her character sketches on social media, some of which might ring a bell like her “German Mom” impression. She brings The Calm Down Tour to the Southern Alberta Jubilee this Sunday, with tickets starting at $48 on Ticketmaster.
