Monday

If the weekend wasn’t enough and you’re still itching to perform, head to Mugs Pub. Open mic starts at 7 p.m., with Earl Morgan warming up the stage before handing it over to you. Tuesday

For those who grew up with the adventures of Anne of Green Gables, good news: the musical is on stage at StoryBook Theatre this Tuesday and throughout the month. The show is family-friendly, so you can relive the magic with your kids.

Wednesday

Broadway is surely on the rise here. Maybe you already saw New York, New York or Moulin Rouge!. If not, don’t worry — there’s more ahead. Les Misérables opens Wednesday at the Jube, transporting audiences to 19th-century France. The Telegraph called it “a reborn dream of a production.” The show runs all week; tickets are available through Ticketmaster.

 

Thursday

If you follow the arts scene, you already know that Contemporary Calgary hosts Free First Thursday every month from 5 to 9 p.m. This edition also closes the 2026 Exposure Photography Festival. Check the exhibit, step into a professional portrait booth or join the Alcove Photo Club Print Exchange.

 

Friday

The Infinity Dome Theatre at TELUS Spark transforms into a fully immersive space for experimental media art. Particle + Wave brings together filmmakers and live performers. Together, they push the boundaries of technology, movement, and sound. Tickets start at $16 via Showpass.

 

Saturday

K-pop fans, Saturday is yours. Celebrate TWICE and their THIS IS FOR North American tour at RumuR. Expect Korean-inspired cocktails, dance performances, a photobooth, and a mini merch shop. Tickets start at $15 on Eventcreate.

 

Sunday

Sunday marks International Women’s Day, with events across the city. Lougheed House offers a women’s history guided tour at 1 p.m., spotlighting the remarkable women who lived there. The Calgary Women’s Jazz Collective honours Joni Mitchell in concert at 7:30 p.m. Meanwhile, Calgary’s Cool Choir will pop up throughout Studio Bell from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., filling the space with rock and pop anthems. All events run at different times, so the truly dedicated can catch them all.
