What To Do This Week (January 19-25)

Monday

Head down to Dickens at 6 p.m. for a drag experience all about love. If you’re a bachelor or bachelorette looking for your perfect celeb match, look no further! Join drag performers Karla Marx, Lilith Fair, Farrah Nuff, and many more as they impersonate celebrities in this hilarious comedy show! Tickets are $15 at the door.

Tuesday

Spend your Tuesday at Pumphouse Theatre for two hours and 40 minutes of fun, light-hearted acting. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is a play featuring the antics of two con men competing to see who can take more money from a wealthy heiress. For just $30 general admission, $27 for seniors and students, you can enjoy watching the hilarious tricks courtesy of Front Row Centre Players. 

Wednesday

Become a part of the “C of Red” at the Saddledome to support the Calgary Flames in their game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The game begins at 7:30 p.m., but make sure to get there early to grab a hot dog and some popcorn, and settle in to cheer on your home team as they beat the penguins…(hopefully).

Thursday

Check out the first day of the Calgary RV Adventure Sale and Show! The BMO Centre is hosting this event for outdoor enthusiasts and anyone looking to explore something new. Whether you’re looking for family-friendly shows, RV accessories and models, or special event-only sales, here is where you’ll find something for everyone. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $12 for seniors. 

Friday

Coven Cabaret is hosting a fundraiser concert featuring talented artists to support their arts collective. Head to Theatre 1308 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. to enjoy a night of vocal talent and support the growth of the organization that put it all together. Tickets are $30 for this one-night-only event. 

Saturday

Calling all Michael J. Fox fans! Back to the Future will be playing at The Grand, so make sure you snag your $15 ticket and prepare to get a blast from the past. Enjoy delicious food from Uncle Fatih’s Pizza, along with popcorn and a specialty cocktail (or a mocktail). Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p .m, don’t be late!

Sunday

End your week with a quiet day exploring The Barn Artisan Market at the Shawnessy Barn. Admission is free and allows you to explore the two floors of local, Alberta-based vendors. Spend 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the barn supporting local businesses in this cute and cozy space.
