What To Do This Week (December 22- 28)

Once Upon a Christmas. Photo: Heritage Park

MONDAY

Step into a storybook at Once Upon a Christmas at Heritage Park. Ride a traditional horse-drawn wagon, wander through the park, say hello to Santa, and soak up the holiday magic. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for kids.

TUESDAY

Calgary never lacks places to drink — and even better, many come with live music. On Tuesday, catch East Coast Celtic rock band Fraid Knot at Trolley 5. The show starts at 7 p.m., with tickets at $12.

WEDNESDAY

The last day to experience The Enchanted Festival at Spruce Meadows. Enjoy an evening stroll filled with festive lights, great food, holiday shopping, and indoor attractions like movies and the Christmas Lights Maze. Open from 5 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for kids and seniors. More info at sprucemeadows.com.

THURSDAY

It’s Christmas Day. Spend time with family and friends. Hug your loved ones. Nothing else on the agenda matters.

FRIDAY

Keep the celebrations going with jingle & mingle at Gulbar. From 6 to 9 p.m., enjoy three hours of live jazz by the JT Band in a cozy setting with food and drinks. Free entry, first-come, first-served seating.

SATURDAY

The holidays wouldn’t be complete without hockey. Head to the Dome for the Alberta rivalry: Calgary Flames vs. Edmonton Oilers. One of the final games of the year — bring your loudest cheer.

SUNDAY

The Calgary Roughnecks return to the Rough House for their Home Opener. Expect fast-paced lacrosse, electric crowds, and nonstop energy, again at the Dome. A thrilling way to wrap up a week.
